EMPANADA FESTIVAL

The Empanada Festival of Bandeira is the gastronomic event par excellence that, since 1974, bids farewell to August in Galicia, bringing together in each edition more than 30,000 people who enjoy ancestral recipes around an icon of Galician gastronomy.

From August 21 to 25, 2024, the municipality of Silleda calls on thousands of visitors to participate in different cultural, recreational, and gastronomic pairing activities around this festival in the town of Bandeira. All this in a rural environment where nature and heritage offer unique experiences, and hospitality is our hallmark.

The renowned writer Álvaro Cunqueiro said that the empanada was "secret mailboxes that, once sliced, you never know what's inside, whether it's your favorite cut or not"... we await you in Bandeira for you to discover it!
